Hyperice Hypervolt Review

Every few years technology gifts us a praise-worthy upgrade within the electronic massage-tool department. This year the most in-demand self-massage tool has come to the market.

Percussion therapy—which is fancy lingo for what the Hyperice Hypervolt massage gun is meant to do—is where you speedily hit a particular area of the body to break up connective tissue, among different things.

The ultimate goal here is basically similar to that of a foam roller, only a percussion device permits you to get precise target with your therapy.

If used properly, the Hypervolt and other similar devices will help with stiffness, soreness, range of motion, and circulation.

Hypervolt is amazingly quite. Therefore, it can be utilized in the common therapist or physical therapist office while not disturbing everyone around you. This is often one of the major benefits compared to other similar devices on the market.

Design

The Hypervolt includes an onerous plastic exterior and a removable battery, alongside four accessory bits, each designed for targeting different areas on the body. You get a medium ball head that’s designed for whole-body use, significantly for massive muscles. Then you’ve got the moistener, that includes a blunt nose. This bit can be utilized for whole body use, as well, because it provides a solid kick. As such, we’d not suggest it on tender areas. The moistener, however, is a pleasant primer for your legs, chest, hips, and butt before and after exercise.

Battery

The Hypervolt includes a removable rechargeable battery. Hypervolt’s battery life has been stupendous. Hyperice says it will charge up to three hours of use on one charge—we concur. We’ve been using it for over a week with moderate usage and we still have not needed to charge the battery.

Speed

The Hypervolt will operate at 2,000 percussions per minute, 2,600 PPM, and 3,200 PPM. You can only cycle up through these 3 settings. This isn’t a serious issue, however, it will mean that if you’re within the middle setting and want to go back to the low setting you’ll need to first cycle through “High” and “Off” before you’re back at the low setting.

Price

This price equates to an affordable massage gun by the percussion therapy device standards. Sure, there are cheaper handheld massagers on Amazon, but in the percussion therapy space, Hypervolt is a very good value from a well-known brand. Check out our top picks to add to your Christmas list this year!
